Welcome Back + 2021 Round-Up

Firstly, we want to wish you all a Happy New Year and we hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We all spent some quality time with loved ones and enjoyed a well-deserved break after what was a crazy, and very busy, 2021.

We are very excited about 2021. Last year, despite more disruption to our daily and business lives, we had a great year. We won many new contracts, invested in new equipment, and had good fun along the way! Below are a few of our highlights as we reflect on a packed year.

So here’s to 2022. We all hope it brings all our clients (old and new), friends and colleagues plenty of fun and prosperity. For us, we are looking forward to:

  • Launching into a completely new sector! We can’t say too much at the moment, but it’s got our creative juices firing.
  • Working with a new public sector client. We love this work – bringing the professional world to life with a showcase of their people, the work they do and the differences they make.
  • New team members joining. We are delighted with the great new opportunity Venetia is taking up, and we’ll miss her greatly. It means we’ll be welcoming new members to the team soon.
  • Working with some of our long-standing and much-loved clients who have already booked early Spring shoots to get their new season product marketing underway.

Whatever your plans for 2022, we look forward to working alongside you.  Have a GREAT new year.

Our 2021 highlights

Dan’s favourite moments

For Dan, his favourite moment was seeing the new contracts we won as a result of the improved pitching process we’ve put in place. “We put a lot of effort into developing the perfect pitch in 2021. We also spent time developing what we call the ‘Ultimate Brief’ which is our way of ensuring our customers experience a seamless process that leaves them with an asset they are proud of. As a result, we’ve secured some fantastic new clients.”

Matt’s 2021 reflections

As well as working on some great projects, one of Matt’s 2021 highlights was the new equipment we invested in. “We invested in some great kit this year including a new scuba lens and a fantastic FX cinematic camera. It’s really upped the quality of our work.”

And Matt reminds us of the great fun we have on set too. He’s still laughing about Venetia’s on-set blunder: “I’ll never forget the moment we were filming on a building site and Venetia had to ask the builders to be quiet. On her way back she did the most spectacular 25m run fall!”

Venetia’s top achievement

We will miss Venetia this year. She has done an excellent job organising and project managing our 2021 shoots. “We did an excellent shoot in London, right opposite the Houses of Parliament. It was really difficult to produce, but the end result was fantastic – I felt very accomplished!”

Helen’s top 2021 memory

But most of all, we were just happy to be back doing what we love most after endless lockdowns and restrictions. “After a difficult year, with shutdowns due to various restrictions, it was so great to re-open our doors. I remember the first shoot after we re-opened, creeping in the back doors and just hearing everyone laughing, seeing the crew and our clients back together again and feeling the all-round positive vibes.”
