Case study
Percussion Play is the world-leading British manufacturer of high-quality, inclusive outdoor musical instruments designed for all ages and abilities. Founded in 2011, they produce durable, weather-resistant, and melodic equipment for playgrounds, parks, schools, and care homes, aiming to make music accessible everywhere.

Percussion Play needed product videos that felt real. Not instruments spinning on a turntable against a green void. Real people. Real playing. Real joy. Six talents across two days. A custom score composed remotely to match each instrument. And a greenery wall that solved every problem green screen couldn't.
The original plan? Green screen, rotating turntable. Sounds simple. Looks great on paper. In reality? A keying nightmare. Moving people, swinging mallets, brightly coloured instrument blocks. The green was fighting every single frame.
So we ditched it.
In came a faux greenery wall. Instantly more natural, no keying gymnastics, and a backdrop that actually felt like somewhere these instruments belonged. Then we hired in a rhino slider to glide alongside the musicians as they played.
Smooth movement, smooth sound, smooth result.
Getting genuine reactions from younger talent is hard. Forced fun looks like forced fun. So we brought the composer on set to teach the kids the actual notes. That changed everything. The interactions were natural. Playful. We also had a young actor with a disability on set, and watching them play showed exactly what Percussion Play's instruments are about. Accessible. Inclusive. Built for everyone.
Real musicianship, real warmth, and instruments in the hands of people who love playing them.
